Dear Eighth Grade Parents and Students,

It is time to begin planning for the arrival of the Class of 2030 to Wilton High School in August of 2026.  To help with this important transition, current eighth grade students and parents are invited to attend an orientation meeting on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at Wilton High School.  The snow date will be Wednesday, January 21 at 7:00 p.m.  Please see the second page of this letter for the evening’s schedule and room assignments. Please arrive on campus by 6:45 p.m. as parking spaces right near the school can be limited with multiple events occurring at the high school.  Parking is available both north and south of the school. We will begin the orientation program promptly at 7:00 p.m.  Please note that an optional informational session about placement for both the Integrated Algebra I-2 - Geometry 2 course and the Geometry 3 - Algebra II-3 - Precalculus 3 course will take place in the Band Room from 6:30 to 6:50 p.m. for anyone interested. The special education department will also be hosting an informational session on services and transition to the high school in the cafeteria from 6:15 - 6:45 for families who wish to receive an overview for students on an IEP (Individualized Education Plan).

Our goal during this evening will be to welcome you and provide you with clear and useful information about our wide range of programs.  Throughout the evening, members of our faculty will provide you with an overview of the academic and elective programs here at Wilton High School. Instructional Leaders will be available to discuss their programs and respond to your questions as you plan for this exciting and important transition.

Wilton High School School Counseling Instructional Leader and grade 9 school counselor, Pamela Scott, will be visiting Middlebrook this week to review ninth grade course selections with the eighth graders. The Wilton High School Program of Studies for 2026-2027 will be available on the Wilton High School website after January 6. Please review the Program of Studies and bring any questions with you to the meeting on January 15.

We are looking forward to seeing you on January 15.  If you have any questions, please contact the Wilton High School Counseling Department at 203-762-0381.

Sincerely,
