- College Fair Partnership: Held at WHS in October with Wilton and Ridgefield High Schools. Over 275 representatives of college and alternative post high school institutions participate.
- Evening Meeting for 8th Grade Parents and Students: Held in January or February; an evening to learn about the Wilton High School curriculum and course selection. Instructional leaders from the various departments present information and answer questions. The high school Counselors are also available. The evening is coordinated by the High School Administration.
- Evening Program for Juniors and Their Parents: Usually held in December; Counselors meet with juniors and their parents to discuss the process of post high school planning.
- Group Meetings for Seniors: In August, before start of school year, Counselors meet with their seniors to discuss the college application process and distribute important information and forms.
- Evening Financial Aid Program: Usually held in November @ Ridgefield High School for parents of seniors; Financial Aid College Director guest speaker
- Peervention Training Program: A 12 week training program for recommended sophomores and juniors. The training is in areas of communication, problem-solving and reaching out to others. After the training, students are engaged in positive projects within the school. The program is a school/community partnership is supported by the Wilton Youth Council.
- Looking to Your Future: Summer small group meetings for incoming freshmen and their parents. The purpose of the meetings is to introduce guidance services, discuss information about Wilton High School resources, present a time line for students and discuss a four year guide to course planning.
- Bon Ami: An organization that assists new students to Wilton High School. Each new student is paired with a Bon Ami Buddy to help the student with the transition to their new school.
- Transition to College Program: An assembly program for seniors in January. A team of college students (WHS alumni) discuss various topics concerning college life.

The purpose of Counseling Services are to help meet the ongoing educational, personal and post high school planning needs of students through counseling and related activities and to provide assistance to teachers and parents as needed and requested. A school psychologist and a social worker are available to provide additional services. The Counselors encourage their students to stop by and make appointments to discuss their academic and personal progress.
